Dr. Dan Dansie

Grantsville Utah dentist Doctor Dan Dansie

Dr. Dansie loves meeting new people and helping them with their dental needs, and he has been doing so for over 25 years. A graduate of Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, Dr. Dansie uses his extensive knowledge and expertise to show patients that procedures that typically cause a lot of anxiety can be straightforward and comfortable. He allows us to provide a wider array of dental services in-house so patients can stay in their home office and receive care from the Grantsville dentists and team they know and trust.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Dansie grew up working in construction and racing dirt bikes, and he went on to major in wildlife biology for his undergraduate degree. In 1990, he surprisingly decided to become a dentist because he thought it would be a fulfilling and interesting career, and he’s happy to say that he was right!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Dansie received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University, and while there, he worked alongside Dr. William Wyatt, a top oral surgeon who practiced in Vail Bellevue part-time. Dr. Dansie spent almost every Saturday with him throughout his senior year of dental school. This gave him a strong base for oral surgery. He put this to good use while serving in Alaska, primarily extracting third molars for many young soldiers in Fairbanks at the Fort Wainwright Army Base.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dansie has partnered with many different nurse anesthetists, gaining great knowledge about sedation. He completed his IV sedation certification in 2014. Today, he travels between various practices providing simple, surgical, and wisdom tooth extractions using IV sedation.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Dansie says that he has the most beautiful wife in the world, Cindy, and they have eight children, including seven girls and one boy (his daughter, Brooke, is actually his IV tech!). They also have five awesome sons-in-law and nine wonderful grandchildren, so much of Dr. Dansie’s time away from the office is dedicated to family. When he can, he also enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes.
